While in the process of trying to collect from the dead beat ex, I found out a few things about our government the has to make you go Hmmmm…..
Having successfully had his Canadian passport privileges revoked…yes ladies if daddy is to much in arrears you can ask them to take it away.. that having been done I began to wonder how he was managing to travel in and out of the country well to cut the story short he is traveling under a UK passport.
Here is what i found out after speaking with many persons within the Canadian immigration and citizenship and the British Embassy…so I am born in another country but one or both of my parents are born in Canada once you prove they were born here and that you are who you say you are fill in forms etc answer all their questions you get it.
Here is what the our government nor the british for that matter… there is no actual background check done on the person. there is no check to see if there is a civil or criminal procedure in the country of origin. in my case ex managed to get UK citizenship ergo a uk Passport. the british never checked with the canadaians to see if he was even allowed to have a canadian passport or driver’s license or if there were court orders against him. all information was taken at face value.. this is a loop hole in our system and i encourage you to write to your members of Parliament to affect change to our CIC laws
